Immortal Heart
~
mysterious lady in blackened silk
a bewitching beauty as to mesmerize
sculpted by a darklord’s hand
so seductive as to scandalize
a wilding stare of icy blue
floats above a dangerous pout
spellbound by her magic eyes
she holds your soul with no way out
her tongue tip teases her top lip’s edge
like a supple paintbrush flowing
her smile will ignite and hypnotize
then wrap around you knowing
you are now her helpless captive
held hopelessly soul addicted
as her immortal heart combusts to flame
is she an angel — or truly wicked

You may never know which sort of wicked she is! Great to see you at the Muse, Rob, and I love the filter or whatever you did with the image. Looks good!

Thank you Shay. I use “Photoshop Commercial Pro”. Its a product I have had since my days with George Lucas in the 1990’s. I also have a proprietary program developed in-house for us to use in our offices on Skywalker Ranch. Its called, of all things, LightSaber — can you imagine that… 😉 I kept it after I left Lucasfilm LTD’s THX Div. — prior to when they were sold.
Rob that is a fascinating tidbit you shared. May the force be with you…haha…I just had to. 😉
And with you as well True… 😉
From your stunning description, I’d say she’s pretty damned wicked! Looks as if you’ve mastered your WordPress changes with no problem. I wish I could say the same for the Blogger. My experience has always been R&D people release a new “toy” and wait for the masses to suffer through it and tell them what they need to correct. They are never users, so have no dreaming idea what they’re doing to us!
Yes Bev, I think you might be right, about this fierce woman — and programmers… 😉 I have figured out, for the most part, how to get WordPress and Blogger to play together more nicely. It is not easy.
Oh Rob this is a steamy poem indeed! Each stanza pulls you into the next leading to a captivating question at the end. I especially love the third stanza! I think many a man has dealt with her in this life. This is gorgeous!
Glad you enjoyed it Carrie. I think it rattled out of my subconscious owing to all the smoke in the air we’ve been breathing here in the PacNW 😉 — the result of the wildfires raging in California, Oregon, and Washington. This is the first day in a couple weeks my doctor has let me go outside, or even open the window. Our air cleaner has been working overtime, requiring filter replacements. Haven’t had to That for a couple years.
I can feel her mesmerizing qualities….the heart bursting into flame makes for an explosive ending……..smiles.
No Sherry, she certainly is no cold-hearted woman… 😉
OK, she is wicked to the core. Satisfied? This is an enchanting poem, Rob.
Got it Helen, thank you… 🙂
Dark and sensuous. Happy Sunday Rob
Much????love
Thank younGillena… 🙂
She holds your soul with no way out. Perhaps, she brings the darkness with her smoke and fiery ways. Perhaps, a fallen angel would that make her wicked?
Perhaps she is being trapped in limbo True — final decision is still out?
“is she an angel — or truly wicked” yes indeed, that is the eternal question!
Yes it is qdit — thank you for visiting… 🙂
A very evocative viewing of the image. Is the darkness at the heart evil, or alluring, or both? I love the tongue-tip paintbrush and the sense of mystery.
Thank you Hedgewitch! 🙂
This is the type woman we dream about, then it turns to a nightmare. Nice reading, I felt the heat, getting hotter and hotter.
..
Thank you Jim, glad this resonated for you. Watch out — she’s a man-eater…!
That first stanza flips the way my eye read this–a creation rather than a destruction. Eerie and perfect for the season.
Glad this resonated for you Chrissa. The piece I wrote is to be interpreted by the reader — hence, the question that is the last line.
A very sensuous description, bewitching even.
Thank you Mary! I found the image yo be both… 🙂
Wickedly sexy!
She’s a “hot” one Sara… 🙂
