Life’s so lonely — I am so blue
is there no way we can renew
our lovelife
I feel so hopeless time to time
so pitiful — truth is that I’m
still lovestruck
I did not always treat you right
please forgive me and reignite
your lovelight
our love song has not all been sung
please don’t abandon me among
the lovelorn
all this time we’ve been so happy
let’s find a way again to be
those lovebirds
I want you to see me again
to again be reflected in
your love-eyes

Bravo. Nice one
Much love…
Thank you Gillena! Much love to you too my friend… 🙂
Another good one, Rob, but so different, the “lovelorn” tone appealing to the one lost but still loved. Great fourth stanza, especially this: “our love song has not all been sung.”
pax,

Thank you again Dora! Wanted to change it up a bit… 🙂
It’s never too late to rekindle those old flames!
Never know do you? 🙂
Oh Rob, I remember this image from Tess’ Magpie Tales and I remember the poem I wrote. Love yours.
Thank you. I am still not a fan of writing poetry to a form— but this was OK.
I hope it works out for them! Nicely done with the love words, Rob!
That’s shat is wonderful about being a writer, as you know Merril — we can choose the ending that we desire. 🙂
Really enjoyed your ‘love’ verse! Great writing!
Thank you Carol… 🙂
Not easy to have this happen… forgiveness accepted depends a lot on what was done…
Depends on how genuine the apology…!
I like the uses of love here, Rob. I hope they have more tunes to sing.
Thank you Sara.
