Could I but glide
through the clouds
like a bird in flight
I would soar skyward
in sweeping circles
lifted on mighty thermals
I would not be earthbound
not a prisoner of these feet
not captive of gravity
each day
would be thrilling
would be freedom
living in
and for
the moment
soaring
and swooping
and giving thanks
for feathers
and hollow bones

Happy Sunday
Much????love
🙂 😉 thank you Gillena — happy Sunday to you… much love!
You are on a roll today! I often wish I could soar the sky on feathered wings, UN-tethered. I imagine there is joy and a sense of freedom. I enjoy watching the birds fly especially during mating season. That is when they are out to impress putting on a grand acrobatic show.
I think birds are beautiful True, be they colorful topicals, or fiercely powerful raptors. I have a special fondness for owls, they way they turn their heads on a swivel, and slowly blink their, eyes — I think they seem otherworldly. And… they are nocturnal, like me… 😉
