This is how the WriteSonic AI thinks kissing feels:
What your kiss feels like
It’s heavenly and divine
No words can truly explain
The joy it brings to my mind
My lips long for your kiss
And I wait for it to come
Your sweet caress is bliss
It’s something I can’t outrun
Your tender lips on mine
Everything else disappears
It’s like we’re standing in line
Soon we will have no fears
This is how I think kissing feels…
Eyes lock
they subtle a smile
I lean slightly toward you
I slip my arms ‘round you
one hand slides smoothly
up the center of your back
I pull you to me slowly
looking for a sign that you agree
it comes
we begin a deeper more sensusl embrace
feeling our bodies softly pressing
the softness of our bed
the smoothness of our sheets
eye contact never breaks
my head leans in hesitantly
then yours
both our heads tilt slightly
gently to the right
we glide fully into each other
gently lips contact
they play
nipping
tugging
tasting
with growing urgency
heads tilt forword
lips interlock fully
flesh to flesh
we are breathing each other now
eyes close
the sensual kaleidoscope
begins whirling in my head
as I lay you back on our pillows
as our mouths open slightly
lips pout full and softened
but in charge
our mouths now cover each
gentle but firm
feeling the flesh on flesh
lips on lips
and tongues slip willingly
with a stealth urgency
but with gentle passion
our tongues entwine
gently dancing
feeling
surrendering
our bodies have melded to one
as we huskily begin
to consume the passion of the other
time and space fall away
joyful thrill fills my being
I lose time and place completely
the touching of our souls
in a depth of timeless pleasure
we become infinite
one
as time disappears
then
our lips begin to slowly unlock
as our heads glide back slightly
I slowly determine where I am
I begin to see again
searching I find
I’m looking into your eyes
my whole body tingling
I see your face
your sensual smile
a tingle runs up my spine
I feel a warm flush
has taken my face
I am lost in our embrace
but the pleasure of the contact
of the entire experience
makes me swoon
I am wholly excited
softly
under my breath
I say… “wow — oh wow — I love you so much”
you smile into my eyes
I feel your body
breathing deeply
as it softens in my arms
what happens from here
strictly our business…

This is a well-remembered kiss, Rob, and a sweet time to remember.
..
I am a highly tactile, enthusiastic romantic, who was in genuine love a number of times – 5 engagements and 3 marriages. I love a slow sizzling make-out encounter with a lover Jim
Two kisses for the price of one, Rob, and this one is as passionate as the first! I love the variation of line length and isolated lines and words that change the pace of the poem, particularly the list of verbs:
‘they play
nipping
tugging
tasting’.
I also like the image of ‘the sensual kaleidoscope […] whirling in my head’.
Thank you Kim. A genuine passionate kiss between lovers, has a number of hesitations and pace changes, analyzing that you have mutual interest and consent and, teasing and playing a bit if you do have interest, patience to make it a tender well-placed approach (no teeth banging) — then the swell of passion and emotional transport in time and place when deeply caught up in the act, and finally tender savoring. All these elements are important, if the kiss is experienced correctly — at least as I see it my friend. 🙂
I don’t see how the AI can compete with a practiced kisser. I can’t believe the AI put in there “waiting in line.” What the heck?
I tried Lisa, but the AI has me baffled on that line? 🙂
I agree!
I fully and strongly agree Kim, Lisa 😉 the one thing in the art of writing poetry that an AI can never have is the true, fleshy, juicy, bloody, thrilling, messy erotic sense of joy. They don’t “Know” in their bones, because they don’t have bones, or flesh. And they can never experience the warmth of a lover’s touch, or how it feels to slide excited into their lover’s body, so intimate as to be one. Nor does an AI even remotely understand the magnificent feeling for two lovers, when they climax mutually in each others arms, while feeling the love of the universe in their hearts. Or know what ice cream tastes like while its dripping down your hand, or the rich sizzling taste of a filet mignon seared to perfection. And I have already provided the proof they have no valid, useable, understanding of what the complex joy of a passionate kiss feels like! It is for these very reasons, on so many more magical feels that our bodies enjoy on many complex levels, that poetry written by an AI will never be anything but shit. It might rhyme, it might have meter, it might learn to mimic a form of poetry — which I personally don’t prefer form to intelligent free voice — but in any case and in any comparison, an AI has no tactile soul, and no imbedded memories of their own, good and bad, by which to compare, in order to appreciate the magic and magnificence of this current all consuming feeling of joy. The faulty frail human wins HANDS DOWN!!
Well, I for one, can see/read/feel the difference.
AI was cold and impassionate.
Rob on the other hand….
Excellent
Thank you Ron… 🙂
This is absolutely stunning, Rob 😀 Only you could have written such an unforgettable poem!
Thank you Sanaa… 🙂
Okay….here’s all I’ll say. I read the AI poem about a kiss. Had no reaction and just went on to read your poem. Way before I finished your poem I was practically hyperventillating! 🙂 And when I finished, my reaction was WHEW! WOW! OOOOOHHH…
Yep, AI loses when it comes to writing poetry that expresses emotions….and really, in my mind, it loses when expressing anything poetically! You definitely proved that, my friend!
Thank you Lillian… 🙂
A poet can write better as we feel and have the life experience for it. Well done Rob. And thanks for telling us about Glenn – he will be missed.
Thank you Grace… 🙂 …and you’re welcome. I felt Glenn’s absence, so I investigated. It was a sad discovery, as Glenn and I have been co-participating in a number of poetry prompt sites for over 15 years.
Nope AI has no clue about that (I hope it never will)
😉
