Original digital art entitled “Soul Kiss” by: rob kistner © 7/4/23
A stolen kiss in the night
by morning’s light
I was totally addicted
but not conflicted
this craving fire is sweet
I’m consumed by its heat
your kiss my addiction
I seek not to recover
come kiss me again
twelve steps be damned — lover

A lovely sensual poem, Rob, but twelve was the word for yesterday’s quadrille, and this poem is a little over the 44 words for a quadrille at 53 words. Today is exploring a word from the list I gave. You might want to rewrite your poem to fit the quadrille and then link it up to Monday’s prompt. I would love you to take part in my Poetics as there are several words there that would be right up your street!
Yeah, I was confused what day it was and the poem was 44. forwards but I expanded it and tried to use kiss as my word for today. And so doing I inflated my original quadrille yesterday and I fell a little shorter today but I’ve been distracted. I hear you, Kim and if I can, I’ll take her to advisement or you said. What I’ve been doing more than writing poetry is when I can creating surreal art that’s all I’ve been doing since the beginning of July it takes my mind off of thinking about words and thinking about my wife we still got over a month traveling daily to radiation it looks like chemo is going to start, so I’m distracted. Sorry. I got to get my poetry mojo back just not feeling it these days but I’m trying. Strange feeling when you lose affection for something that you love so many years. She will come back. I did trim the fat I added so now this poem is again the quadrille.
Rob, I hear you. Sending good vibrations your way.
And it’s a great poem!

The other Kim
Thank you Kim, your kindness is noted and greatly appreciated… 😉
A great quadrille… love how sensuous it is.
Thank you so much Bjorn, I am losing the edge to gage my work. 🙂
I love what you have done with this Rob! It has a lot of soul!!
Thank you Dwight… 🙂
I’ve been there, Rob! You captured it perfectly!

David
Thank you David… 🙂
I love the idea that it’s an addiction you don’t want a cure from. Nice to see you writing again, Rob.
I can’t stop for any length of time Lisa, I start driving Kathy up the wall — and she doesn’t need that right now. I have also picked up some new apps and render hardware, so I have gotten much deeper into my digital art now — given my arthritis has blocked my ability to create my mixed media Serenity Totems.
Great Rob and I love the song – a classic????
Thank you AJ… 🙂
Yes, love’s a kind of benign addiction…
Sometimes it’s not so benign.
Fiery, Rob!
Thankyou Sara… 🙂
