Original digital hyperealistic art: “Gettin’ All of It”

M y hand gripped tight the pine tar
gonna drive this baby far
as the pitch wound to deliver
I felt muscle and sinew shiver
I swung a mighty swing
felt that subtle sting
crack!
the ball rocketed to flight
cleared the fence
— outta sight!

Nice! I can hear the *crack* of that bat!
And I love the way they used to feel De, it was magic! 🙂
Oh yeah. Is there any better feeling. Now I get to watch my son go for his first one.
That’s cool K enjoy it. 🙂
You hit it out of the park with your poem! ;D
Thank you Carol. 🙂
Outta sight indeed! Well done Rob!
Thank you so much Dwight, my friend — you are much appreciated.
Clever! Did you play baseball?
I am a clever old pitcher and shortstop Melissa.
I grew up going to the Reading Phillies and Philadelphia Phillies. Lots of baseball games. Cool to know.????
For extra income during and after high school I also helped manage a parking lot for my uncle at Crosley Field, home of the Big Red Machine, from 1964 to 1970.
Well this is a home run and I don’t even like baseball! Nice one, Rob.
Thank you so much Mish. I am not a big basebaull fan anymore, mostly soccer. However, of all edperiences in sports, few compare with the almost magical feeling of a big barrel 34” WOODEN Louisville Slugger making contact with the taut round hardball, and feeling it explode like w rocket off your bat. It is alomost spiritual. I will never forget that feeling. You almost don’t fedl the vntactnwhen you hit it with the “sweet spot” WOW!!
This sounds like a delightful memory… I never played this but we had a game called “brännboll” that shares some of the aspects of baseball.
Baseball and rock Elvis ten the Beatles that was my uouth. Shortly after came Triumph Bonneville 650cc motorvycle .. got the cycle the sme year I started my first band. I as 13 and couldn’t legally drive it — but I did… 😉
I enjoyed the rhymes, sights and sounds… a vivid poem. Great take on the prompt!
Thank you Miriam, very much… 🙂
The sound of a baseball connecting with bat is so satisfying! Nicely done, Rob
Thank you Dale… 🙂
