You cannot stop
the hands of time
from spinning ever on
when the sand is
through the hourglass
those days are ever gone
no reliving summers past
nor mistakes of society
they’re lost in history
there’s no wish
nor magic chant
not even wizardry

Lovely poetry, Rob. And this is spot on,
“no reliving summers past
nor mistakes of society
they’re lost in history
there’s no wish
nor magic chant
not even wizardry”
Yes Kitty, society has soooo much to atone for. The words of the Stve Miller song exposes the weakness that society sadly clings too white knuckled!
O Rob,, just a little magic chant, pleeee-us! I have a skin-drum called Magick with whom I am called to sing and recite.
For today, “May you be well, may you rest into serenity”,
even in – especially in – the turmoil, friend!
( – I’m and enjoying the serenity totem fourth from left, the indigo and dun tones {insight into the way things are}, between orange {joyous} and magenta {wisdom}. Thank you for sharing this image. by which for me to make conscious choices. {hug} )
Thank you so much, Kathy. I appreciate the kind words. I still have my skin hoop drum. When I was healthier, I used to participate in a lot of circles, but haven’t been able to for years. Keep drumming, and keep putting out good vibes. I’m pleased you like my Totems. I’ve made over 100 over the years. Sold 3/4 of them — but since Covid and, my decline and health, I haven’t been able to participate in any jury art shows for several years. Now they just hang on my wall. These will be the last I ever make. The arthritis in both hands makes the stretching and winding impossible for me now. Such is life. Peace to you, my friend.
May we learn from our past, and carry love into our future.
May it be so De… 🙂
An excellent accompaniment to Steve Miller…or the other way round…richness again in your presentation
Thank you so much, Ain. I appreciate that. It’s always wonderful to see you post it let me know you’re OK. Keep up the good fight. Stay safe, brother. 🙂
That’s my favourite Steve Miller song!
So much truth in your words, Rob.
Thank you Punam… 🙂
Nothing is more true than these words of yours, Rob.
~David
Yes David, sadly true my friend… 🙂
