Fiddler’s Green

~ Sometimes, the storm is not out there, but within us. ~

Though I loved you I felt lonely
was then I looked the water’s way
to try to change my destiny

perhaps this move would set me free
in hopes to find a better day
I bought a sailboat hastily

then sailed forth bold — but carelessly
my new life I would not delay
fresh dreams my mind could clearly see

launched unprepared so foolishly
my dreams still came true anyway
storms carried me to fiddler’s green

the oceans roll and gale winds blow
why was I blessed — no one will know
