come join with me
all my bothers and sisters
earth’s creatures
turn off your gadgets
your cell phones off
your video games
your computers
your movies
your TV’s
turn off your static
come to the forests
come to the fertile valleys
come to the rolling planes
come to the mountains
come to the oceans
stand with us
quietly
look
listen
what you will see
is magnificent perfection
what you will hear
is our weeping

Oh! Thoe closing lines….the perfection, then the sound of weeping. So powerful, Rob. Just beautiful.
Thank you Sherry. I will continue weeping and warning with my words, as long as I am able to form them. I love this magnificent natural world we are blessed with, and I am righteous pissed at those who abuse and destroy it. I sometimes feel I am calling into a vacuum.
Poignant, wise, and true! A beautiful voice of the wild captured here Rob! May we truly listen!
We just need yo keep shouting Carrie!
“turn off your static” – so much in that!
Oh hell yes!
In the silence of this evening, the wolf’s howl needs to be revisited again and again, to send delicious chills down the spine… *smiles*
We must hear the weeping of the creatures of this earth — including us Jinksy.
Ha – I think if we just turned off the electronic devices and went for a walk in nature, we would experience a different world filled with life. I take a walk everyday rain or shine, just to breathe in nature and all it’s wonder.
so sad, the sound of our weeping – yes, I can hear it at times.
I believe people avoid the natural world True, because then they need not feel responsibility or guilty.
“turn off your gadgets” ~~ a resounding amen to that! Taking breaks from the noise of everyday life feels sooooooo good. Cheers.
I am a secret serial Luddite myself Helen! 🙂

Thank you Phillip! 🙂
This really hit home Rob: we’re still not listening!
I am pleased Ingrid! Perhaps someday.
