Evelyn thought — no
then Evelyn thought again
behold this paradise
yes
as the ‘s’
curled at the tip
then rolled slippery
off her tongue
a golden current
coursed along her spine
then tingled
down her inner thighs
then with a shiver
to her feet
causing her toes
to curl
so slightly

her body was charged
electric
all powerful
the power
of anticipation
a pure pleasure
pulsing to unleash
no restraints
the pulse
of the moon at its fullest
of the sun at its hottest
the wonderful chaos
of the universe
yes
oh yes
Original digital surreal art: “Bridge of Desire”
by: rob kistner © 9/26/23
she would cross this bridge
this bridge of desire
this bridge of mystery
this bridge of sighs
his bridge
she would enter this realm
his realm
to his sky castle
his pleasure palace
sanctuary of sated fantasies
his Xanadu
she would acquiesce
what wonders she imagined
Arbre Blanc du Plaisir
what wonders she desired
she felt the mounting thrill
of pending surrender
raw freedom
the heat
at the white hot core
of lust

so she released
utterly
totally
to the manifestation
of a singular bliss
her essence
ran molten
it was the flow
of liquid need
she was his focus
his purpose
his hunger
she was his instrument
his joy
he
was her maestro
was her obsession
he was her madness

Thank you Rog… 🙂
Oooh! A red-hot write, Rob! Lustful and sensual.

Well done Rob.
Thank you Arcadia… 🙂
I love the symbolism that I see in this.
Thank you Melissa. I sm pleased you picked up on that… 😉
A smooth erotic touch, Rob! You captured the moment very well. I love all of your digital art pieces you do.
Thank you Dwight. It took me a couple yeard to get an effective grasp on my Directed Digital Extrapolation, but it is becoming quite fulfilling. Arthritis robbed my creative physicsl mechanism, do my Serenity Totem days are over, but my brain snd voice work well, so directing Siri snd limited initial keystrokes are still within my capability. And applying poetry as a combined to force to assist in creating art is also a newly discovered true joy. One door closes, and if you are tenacious, another door opens. I am thrilled I can continue to create the images to compliment and expand my verse. It’s wonderful my friend. 🙂
Here are a few other bridges I created for this prompt Dwight.

I think this is a bridge that many want to cross, and also be in her company *smiles*
Absolutely Björn, bridges take us places that do demand we remain aware — but such satisfaction can be discovered by the truly bold and attentive. 😉
I think (only my opinion) that the first section of the poem, until ‘so slightly’ is all you need. It says it all and has a beginning, a progression and a conclusion. The rest adds to the poem, but that first section doesn’t need any more. It’s good enough as it is xxx
I certainly see your well considered observation, that opening portion is a whole element. The rest, for me, tells the story of her reaction and navigation of the expanded experience — which also has a wholeness to it unto itself. Thank you for your thoughtful introspection Jane — I and honored, sincerely.
You stretched a few moments to a full-length poem.
Oh, but what a moment Reena… 🙂
