Bloom
~
Turn away from things that can’t be changed. Forgive the foolish slights. Mend the wounds.
Turn to the rising sun. Feel the warmth of the new day. Embrace it with a thankful heart.
Be the cause of joy. Be the source of possibility. Make life better for your having been here.
don’t dwell fallen petals past
nurture spring’s bright blooms

Hurrah for your sweet smile and hopefulness. It cheers me up. My own health issues necklaced to Trumpitis and the chaotic state of the world, makes 2020 a bit dour.
Thank you Glenn. The events in my life over the past several months leave me only two choices — despair or hope. I am choosing to sustain hope brother, for as long as I am able.
Very nice Rob. Dwelling on the past only holds us back. Great Haibun.
Thank you Dwight. I wrote it so that I might occupy its message. I must occupy its message or I might despair.
Turning to the rising sun and embracing its warmth are time much better spent than that spent in vitriol and doomsday. Your words were a fresh breeze, Rob!
I am leased they wafted gentle upon and over you Beverly. In this world so very close to madness, I am seeking to embrace hope — to save my sanity.
A wise haibun, Rob, that has cheered me up this morning, and I love the image of pink blossom, which I so look forward to.
I am pleased it raised your spirit Kim! The new blossoms will be here soon. I am slowly learning to be deeply grateful for each day, each time I greet the sun.

Rob, I got your email about not being able to post comments at my blog. I checked in the spam folder and no comments are there. Sorry, I’m not sure what’s happening with them, but Word Press has a rep for random glitches. Don’t give up trying to comment and again I’m sorry they aren’t coming through.
I got it worked out Lisa.

Loving this, Rob. Begin beginning….we can do this every moment, really. Thankful for every day. Hoping you are feeling well, my friend.
Apologies for the late reading….we flew to San Diego yesterday – spending the next two months in a rental here, away from Boston’s winter. So posted on Monday and then got consumed with packing etc.
And now, you remind me…this is a new beginning – relishing sunshine for 2 months 🙂
Glad this resonated for you Lillian. Enjoy San Diego!
