Original DDE™ surrealistic art: “Eyes Of Azure” by: rob kistner © 10/30/23
This day unravels pewter grey
I sit by the sunless window
with only my blues
lost
alone
in this moment
my soul’s fallen
into my indigo memories
until I am consumed
I see your lips
sculpting goodbye
not a tear
in your azure eyes

Great use of colour, Rob, and I love the progression from pewter grey to azure.
Thank you Kim… 🙂
Alas many good things come to an end sooner or later….
I loveto write these sad story poems because I love melancholy. I find it is cathartic my ftiend.
A turning blue – in shades of blue – writing the blues.
In good and bad news… 😉
I like indigo memories. Happy Halloween!
Thannk uou Merril… 🙂
I like the way you shade your mood with colors. Beautifully done, Rob.
Again thank you my friend. As I was writing “Lost In Azure”, the “Blue Eyes Blue” piece kept taggin’ along, so I gave it life. 🙂

O Rob, I am (nearly) consumed by your melancholy… But – as ever – your choice of music helps lift the mood.
Brilliant coupling with the Eric Clapton – I have the sound right up and I am not melancholy any more!
Glad you dig the tunes Kathy… 🙂 …I always try to make a choice of music that compliments my piece — thank you for taking the time to listen. I spend considerable time choosing. Writing the poetry obviously requires the most time and focus — but choosing the tune(s), at times, takes almost as long as creating the digital art.
Well, those eyes have to be the loveliest I have seen in a good while. Somehow they do not look capable of the ‘goodbye’ you describe. Well done, Mr. Kistner.
Thank you Helen… 🙂
Such poignant use of color imagery in this one, Rob!
Any color you want Sanaa — as long as it’s blue… 🙂
