Original digital surreal triptych: “Temptresses” by: rob kistner © 10/2/23
M ysterious lady in blackened silk
dark beauty as to mesmerize
a vision painted by a wizard’s brush
seductively she’ll hypnotize
wilding stare of icy blue
floats above a blood-red pout
spellbound by her magic eyes
once she grips your soul
there’s no way out

Love the poem and the art!
Thank you Maggie… 🙂
Oh.. that lure of the dark lady… from Shakespeare to Santana…we are likely to fall.
BTW it is now believed that Shakespeare’s lady was from Africa and maybe a well-known madam of London.
What can you say Björn — the man had great taste! 😉
Well now you have this looping in my head. Haha. Sing with me, Rob
Got your spell on me, baby
You got your spell on me, baby
Yes, you got your spell on me, baby
Turning my heart into stone
I need you so bad, magic woman
I can’t leave you alone
Your digital art is amazing
“Don’t turn your back on me baby…” Thank you True! 🙂
Ooh, Rob, you are the wizard with the black silk in the images. I could easily fall into agonized/ecstatic ecstasy with these dark maidens and pity any man who falls under their siren spell.
I love both of your song choices as well. Have you seen the David Lynch movie, “Wild at Heart”? There’s a great scene in that movie as they are driving along a dark highway when this song plays.
Thank you Lisa… 🙂 …I don’t remember the scene, but I am going to go find it. Thanks my friend for turning me onto it. Interesting fact — the other guitar player on stage with Carlos in the video I posted is Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. Peter is the man who actually wrote “Black Magic Woman”, and Fleetwood Mac made the original recording of the song, prior to Santanas incredible cover of it. The song was inspired by Peter’s former girlfriend, Sandra Elsdon.
That is an interesting tidbit! I always thought it was a Santana song. Learn something new everyday.
The world is full of the unknown True… 🙂
Oh wow, did not realize Peter Green had written it nor that Fleetwood Mac recorded the original. I liked the old FM music at least as much as their newer stuff.

Interesting isn’t it. Thanks for the link Lisa… 🙂
Gorgeous, Rob!
