U nworthy fool am I
I ignore it
I mishandle it
yet over and over
you lay it at my feet
time after time
you open it for free
to stem sorrow’s storm
to nurture and sustain me
this precious treasure
tinseled true golden heart

Just more stuff, eh, Rob? I’m with you, Bro.
Got some new meds Ron — so away we go!
Poignant…
Thznk you David…
A beautiful tribute to love and the lover
Much love…
Thank you Gillena, much love… 🙂
Very moving piece. I think we need others to handle our hearts sometimes, when we neglect them. Love the phrase…”stem sorrow’s storm”. Hope you are feeling better soon, sir. Take care.
Thank you Mish. My doctors have prescribed an augmented regimen of meds supposed to alleviate some of the pain and elevate my mood — we’ll see… hope so.
Very beautifully penned and poignant indeed. I really loved the last couple lines the most.
Also hope you’re feeling better soon, Rob. <3
Thank you Lucy… 🙂
That last two lines are perfect. Hope all is well.
Thank you Grace. My doctors gave me some good new drugs, so I am doing better.
Well done. Harvest is one of my favorite. Nicely done, Ron.
Thank you Gill!
This is supreme!
Ghank you Mary! 🙂
Tinseled true heart… how wonderful
Glad you liked it Bjorn. It felt good to me… 🙂
Who but you could imagine a tinseled heart? Keep on keeping on …. we care.
I think it should be noted that I am heavily medicated, for numerous health debacles — that might spawn a tinseled heart Helen… ? 😉
Lovely, moving poem, Rob. Loved the last line.
Thank you Sara… 🙂
