Horror Art — by: Rob Gonsalves
This is my nightmare
would that it never come true
learn not to clearcut
learn how to live with nature
do not destroy our forests
Murder

and the rivers are poison
you cannot eat money”
— CREE INDIAN WARNING
We had better learn fast. Not much old growth left……….glad you wrote about it, Rob.
I can’t help but vent my anger Sherry. I spent many years hiking the old growth, when I was able, and it pisses me off… 🙂 those amazing towering miracles, self sustaining, gorgeous, and they live for centuries — until asshole humans cut them down, to make room for these towering trash producers.
A nice write, Rob. I had it growing trees from top down, from the skyscrapers into a growing forest.
..
That should be the way it is, but unfortunately, they cut those beautiful trees down to make room for those megaliths of human excess… leaving more and more forests raped and strafed… 😐
It is a travesty what happens! Just on my to work today there is another area of trees cut down for another shopping center. It is so sad. Have a wonderful week my friend!
Thank you Carrie… 🙂 There are huge acres of clearcut out here in the forests on the mountains.
