This day begins briskly sunny
an osprey echoes our sunrise lake
we chat by morning’s window
with tea and curiosity
thoughts spill
into each other
as your soft coral lips
sculpt words
I’ve drifted
my love’s ignited
as sun
fires your gentle green eyes

Thank you and you’re welcome Ron… 🙂
a charming and tender piece, Rob.
Thank you!
Green eyes are always mysterious.
Love ‘em Kerfe! 🙂
Are they? I have green eyes. ????
I am totally aligned with Kerf in this. Green eyes are the color of the grasses, the fields, the forests — the color of nature, and all the mystery therein help — I love green eyes. I almost got there with my hazel eyes. Green eyes are as precious as the emeralds they revere.
The build is wonderful, sensual. Who wouldn’t drift?
Like on a cloud Paul. 🙂
Such a beautifully soft and gentle poem, Rob. Therapy for the soul.
Very much so Marion — thank you! 🙂
Tea and curiosity … much better than tea and crumpets … A most enjoyable quadrille, Rob.
Thank you Helen! …and I have noidea what crumpets are. In 75 years, never bothered to investigate. The word just sounded like something I would not want in my mouth… 😉
What a lovely serene moment you capture… it seems to be a great beginning for days and days to come.
Thank you Bjorn… 🙂
Nicely done Rob.
