Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines erotic as: “of, relating to, exciting, or expressing sexual attraction or desire”
~
translucent alabaster blaze
you’re torrid as a teen’s temptation
I’m a kindle’d lover’s pyre
tinder poised
with slightest spark
near to burn
wrapped steaming
in eager hungry arms
achingly we yearn
your graceful face
wanton aglow
comely raised and tilted back
my fingers tangled in your hair
swept away in lustful swoon
you’re Hedone’s daughter
lush with nectar
afire in ardor’s golden flame
that folds upon you soft as satin
down glistening back
that tempting tapers
to the tender
warm and sultry
a wonderland for fingertips
mine touch
and tease
and tantalize
we explore
full measure
our quivering bodIes
mine chiseled firm
hammered hard
smooth as stone
with Himeros’s brand
your divinely-pleasing
sculpted vessel
brought forth
by Aphrodite’s hand
flesh-fruit swells full and ripe
a silhouette to hypnotize
enticing in the candle’s flicker
we fondle freely with wanting eyes
I twist and tweak
your blossomed berries
that burst
engorged with passion’s heat
my teeth to nip and tug
draw to my lips
to taste
your tender touch
soft loving stroke
drawn slow ‘n steady
ignites my need
now full ready
to firm express
my willful hands
of pleasured probing
wrap slender waist
then slowly slide
‘cross pleading hips
of sensuous rise
to fall in frail folds of eros
molded from the charms of Venus
’round dual swells of burning myth
that writhe
atop two lathen’d stems
long and lithe
as liquid love
turned by pleasure’s gloried angels
tempered in a sacred fire
stretched taut
arched high
in carnal roil
we entwine
god and goddess buff
beyond delirium
I enter rough
we thrust and thrust
in randy lust
’til passion’s seed
has turned to dust
and our wanton
carnal
flames
are snuffed
love’s raging madness
at last rebuffed

Poetics: Exploring Erotica as a Literary Genre (what makes a poem erotic?)
Wowww!! This is incredibly passionate in its use of diction and imagery, Rob. Especially like; “a silhouette to hypnotize
enticing in the candle’s flicker.” Thank you so much for adding your voice to the prompt.
Thank you Sanaa! I edited out three stanzas for fear I might go too far. I am weak. I love the grace and strength of the female form — and I love making love. This guy can’t help it… 🙂
Oh. My. Goodness. That was deeee-licious. What a beautiful description of the coming together of two lovers.
Thank you Dale, I am glad you liked it.
Very passionate and sizzling with taste of liquid love.
Wow, I need a cool drink.
Thank you Grace. Tall glass, with ice… 🙂
Sizzling and smoking throughout, Rob. The ending is my favorite part:
“we thrust and thrust
in randy lust
’til passion’s seed
has turned to dust
and our wanton
carnal
flames
are snuffed
love’s raging madness
at last rebuffed”
Bella!
Glad youliked Lisa, thank you… 🙂
Wow Rob ….I am breathless!
In through your nose deeply, hold it, count three, out slowly… repeat… 🙂
Lol!
🙂
I knew you would ace this. I’ve read your erotica before, and this, too, is incredible. I used the same playbook, but scored far less touchdowns. Like you, I had to dial down, and pull back; some heady verse for sure.
Thanks bro! I did temper this down in consideration of the crowd. I so enjoy freeing my erotic nature, both on “the linen” 😉 and on paper… I am just not shy. It must be the performer in me.
You really took us all the way and back!
Loved this line:
I’m a kindle’d lover’s pyre
tinder poised
with slightest spark
near to burn
Thank you Dwight. I enjoyed this write.
This is a wild journey: you must’ve enjoyed writing it and reliving all of those sensations! I find your use of alliteration particularly powerful, and my favourite stanza is:
wrapped steaming
in eager hungry arms
achingly we yearn
Really pleased this touched you Ingrid. 🙂
You were in for the long haul with this one, Rob, and took your time with it – a slow burn. ???? I like the alliteration in ‘torrid as a teen’s temptation’ and ‘touch’, ‘tease’, and ‘tantalize’, as well as the phrase ‘tinder poised / with slightest spark / near to burn’, and the repeated allusion to heat in all its different forms. You really went for it with:
‘mine chiseled firm
hammered hard
smooth as stone’
and
‘I twist and tweak
your blossomed berries
that burst
engorged with passion’s heat’.
Just a passionate, pleasurable poet Kim. That’s what I am. And i learned long ago that .i love all three traits abd qualities — of passion pleasure, and poetry.
Oh you really know how to handle erotica… this burns..
I thank you Bjorn. I was born romantically randy. Love the beauty and strength of the female form and the warmth and intimacy of making love, especially to jazz! Miles’ “Kind Of Blue” a particular favorite. Though Sade’s “Diamond Life” stirs my libido.
If Milton had written erotic poetry I bet it would have read something like this 🙂
Not certain if John would agree… 🙂
You took us right into the heat of the moment. Well done, Rob.
Thank you Ken… 🙂
I think my old heart took a little jump, and some long-buried memories shifted a bit! Written like the great lover I’m sure you are!
Thank you Bev. I wanted to leave a comment of compliment on your site, but still can’t get your, and many other Blogger sites to accept my post. 🙁
Rob…this is absolutely brilliant!!!
Thank you Jenna, pleased it touched you… 🙂
Wow, you missed nothing! Love it!
🙂
Steamy and fiery passion! Burn, baby, burn!????
Glad this moved you MW… 🙂
I don’t know how those question marks got in there. ???? I guess the touch pad went a little mad. Feel free to get rid of them for me.
No problem… 🙂
So intimate, an erotic and romantic poem full-bodied. The words just flow, and now I need a glass of water, sigh.
Thank you paul!
