she finds him irresistible
his stern face
stern smile
stern voice
stern eyes
his subtle wink
the taste of his kiss
she adores the touch
of his strong stern hands
warm sure hands
so too
she loves his cane

Nicely done, Rob!
Thank you Kim! It was inspired by Joni Mitchell ‘s song, Carey. Thanks for visiting today… 🙂
A few shades of gray suggested?
Maybe a couple Judy… 😉
Love this. There’s that cocktail of good looks, sexiness, stern-ness and the cane. An arresting character. ????????
Just wanted to tell you Vivian, that’s me when I was younger… I wanted to, but that would be a lie… 😉
Beautiful economy of words! So much said by so little!
Thank you Frank. It was stern writing… ;-))
I thought there was a hint of Grey here too. Nicely done Tob, hot!!
Pat
Sorry.. Rob
😉
It was written for your personal interpretation, that way each gets his/her own poem. I enjoy writing that way Pat. Glad you enjoyed reading it.
Shades of masochism….. You leave the reader guessing.
Guessing makes the poem linger longer in the mind of the reader, and I enjoy enabling that Reena.
Love your use of repetition here. He sounds like a lady killer, to be sure.
I am glad that worked for you De. I wasn’t certain I could go very deep with that in only 44, but I was satisfied. 🙂
Perhaps the wink and the cane give him away and she sees right through him. Nice poem.
You might be correct Mary? She found something irresistable about him… 😉
Well done. Very nice subtle innuendos. I have to agree with other comments there in a shades of grey undertone 🙂
Well, Kira, that is possible. Whatever the case, the woman seems attracted to him.
The wink seemed to soften his sternness. It’s a powerful little gesture.
