You do not see me
I am but an avatar
of your prurient fantasy
no shadow do I cast
that you perceive
just a hungry wish
a salacious craving
a cashmered pleasure
that drapes your wanton needs
bangled in exotic desire
dark and dangerous
enticingly evil
a black-magic woman
a seductive nightmare
twisted specter of your lust
drifting alluringly
‘cross the moonlit veranda
of your mind’s mad-keep
a sensual sorceress
a wet-dream enchantress
your conjured concupiscence
your frankenstein’d wild love doll
to you
I am invisible
as a person
instead
a goddess of the flesh
eyes dark and deep as nocturne
scorching as a primal ache
a secreted passion
captive in your heart’s
carnal bunglow
sultry as jungle heat
inscribed for you alone
in the book of ardor
fired in molten yearning
ablaze in the sensual dreams
of writhing midnight
I am smoke and flame
libido’s lush vision
longing’s mysterious visitor

I like that she’s telling him that he’s not seeing the real her, just his vision through his lust.
(I suspect he’s not going to listen.) ????
See me for who I really am, not your fantasy of what you’d like me to be.
Very well written Rob. And avatar fantasy running through the corridors of your mind!
Thank you Dwight… 🙂
“a cashmered pleasure
that drapes your wanton needs
bangled in exotic desire” this is so good, Rob and your closing stanza is stunning! I hope he sees her for what she is beyond his fantasy.
Thank you Punam… 🙂
A man’s gaze is often like this… we need to see the person and not just the flesh to really win her heart.
So important Bjorn, and not something one fully realizes when young…
Especially love the last stanza <3 🙂
Thank you AJ… 🙂
