”Nightmare Vortex” by: rob kistner © 1992
Fallen into night’s embrace
held down by dark shadows
I writhe in the arms of nightmare
purity entangled in my sin
but soon the light of morning
will fold itself upon me pardoned
pray I fervently now
not to be too far drawn asunder

Wow Rob, loving this – the seductive pull of nightmare, then getting folded into morning’s redemption

Interesting poem.
Interesting comment… 😉
I truly get your quadrille, being a frequent dreamer of nightmares, although sometimes I really get into them and morning is an interruption, as well as a pardon!
When you are a sinner like me Kim, my nightmares can be spectacular!
Oh. that relief from being released from the grasp of the deamons of night.
Yes, absolutely Bjorn — and we are all haunted as such, from time to time… 😐
