Musicality
~
we were jazzing along the lake
the moon bee-bopping this magic night
saxing its light upon us
it pianoed into my very soul
fluting up thoughts of tympanied love
trumpeting my chorded lust
drumming my erotic fantasies
wowing me in musicality
swellingly, the moment classicalated
my mind piccoloed in joy
as I oboed eagerly into you ear
celloing my deep-felt feelings
trebling you to my clef
I violined your quivered lips
and symphonyed my arms around you
to crescendo you in strains of passion

NOTE to “Blogger” site owners: I enjoy reading your work, but frustratingly, many “Blogger” sites DO NOT let me post comments? 🙂 So sorry if you don’t see personal comments from me on your “Blogger” site. But I will keep reading your work — and welcoming and responding to your comments here on Image & Verse.
This indeed has a rhythm and beat to it. It’s very musical in its own right with each word and reference to instruments and different styles of music, like jazz. Very sensual as well. Another amazing piece, Rob. It has mind-blowing imagery with many scales (pun, ha) in emotion. Great work.
Thank you — and good one with the scale reference! 🙂
Your last line is killer, brother. The musical motif is clever and very creative, giving a smooth flow to the piece, not jarring us with the impressive noun/verbs. I liked “my mind piccoloed in joy”.
Thank you Glenn. Now matter how one approaches this prompt, the result becomes unavoidably manufactured and mildly pretentious — but we do our best… 😉
Love your crescendoed ending!
Big finish Dwight… 🙂
What a glorious symphony Rob. I love the verbing of the muscial instruments.
Thank you Grace. A little classical jazz.
Well done, right into that crescendo.
Thank you Ken..
Such fun to resonate with the sultry timbre of your titillating tune, Rob.
Can’t help but music myself Lisa… 😉
I was trying to find a favorite, but I can’t. It’s ALL gooood. Maybe the piccoloed mind?
I’m diggin the musicality here & brimming with admiration for your very adept response to prompt. Nicely done!
Thank you Ron. Really nice to see your comment on my site again sir. I appreciate the visit.
I loved this, Rob. Musical romance and eros. Yummy
Like chocolate, wine and kisses Dale… 🙂
I love the movement of musical terms… now I want to woodwind myself for a bit
Sounds wonderfully exotic Bjorn 🙂
An enjoyable jazzy riff on the prompt, Rob! I especially love:
‘saxing its light upon us
it pianoed into my very soul
fluting up thoughts of tympanied love
trumpeting my chorded lust
drumming my erotic fantasies
wowing me in musicality’
and the ending is a killer!
Thank you Kim, sincerely. It was fun to write, and I had a few lines that really satisfied me.
This sets itself to music 🙂
OK Jane — 1,2,cha,cha,cha. 😉
Nice! Let’s music!
Thank you Ricardo! Yes, let’s… 🙂
Quite the symphony …. I have my flute, ready to play.
I have my djembe Helen, so we could do a kinda fife and drum thing… 😉
