sparking golden in the night
my radiant beauty of energy
my networked power of love
oh alien night goddess
my alluring otherworldly
we’ve sailed the universe
in our skyship of passion
I have watched with you
platinum fire clouds
hanging in pale green skies
over the azure seas of Toluraz
we’ve seen the copper leaves
of the silken parmus fronds
flashing from indigo cliffs
in the crystal mists of Gemin
we’ve swam the blue oceans of Gaia
made love ‘neath its silver moon
scaled its emerald forested mountains
ran with its fantastic beasts
I have beheld exquisite beauty
throughout the cosmos in my life
but nothing nearly so beautiful
as your ebony eyes — tonight

Hi! I’m Edgrrr, rob’s shih tzu.
You must be feeling your oats and be mighty brave to seduce that goddess — for a night. Delightful, Rob.
Hey, I will try anything once Jade… 😉
Oh man, we both clinked on the links and chose the same image–how about that? Parallel mindsets, yet again. I keyed off her title of the piece, and the tale is told large. I love it when you dose us with Sci-Fi imagery; you do it so well. But I agree with Jade–this is one scary bitch.
We seem to be in synchronis vibration Glenn… 🙂 …my alien night goddess would be one hot date!
That’s an amazing trip you take us on. Great images, great detail. I bet she’d eat you afterwards, though…
Probably get a helluva “charge” out of it though Sarah… 🙂
Sounds like she has you under her spell! Well done Rob!
Thank you Dwight. I was quite mesmerized by Mary’s goddesses.
You’ve made great use of elements and colour, Rob, to convey the beauty of your alien goddess, and you’re rocking that skyship of passion!
This was a fun write Kim. I was inspired by Mary’s goddess collection of images.
The goddess of night holds a strong allure but, be careful once under her spell you might never be truly free. Love the imagery and the “skyship of passion” soaring through a starlit heaven.
Wonderful magic ….
Thank you True. Caution is my mantra… 🙂
So other worldly. The copper leaves stanza is my favorite.
Thank you Colleen. sciFi poetry is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I thougt Mary’s goddesses were otherworldly, alien – so it felt appropriare. Glad you enjoyed it… 🙂
Nice last stanza. Eyes make beauty personal.
I love the lyrical essence of a woman’s strong body Frank, but the depth of beauty is most definitely in the eyes. They truly do reveal the soul and integrity. Beautiful eyes can hypnotize me… ahhhh…
Wow… what a seducer you are… this is a great way to make love.
Cosmic love Björn… 🙂 thank you…
Sultry and seductive- exquisite Rob!
Thank you Linda! Mary’s goddesses inflamed my Roddenberry-Sagan syndrome.
