T he chest of the wave
slams the massive boulders
the steadfast rocks resist

I really like this, Rob. In every assault there are residuals.
Thank you Dwight… 🙂
Flipping brilliant.
Thank you again Shawna… 🙂
I marvel at the tenacity of the rocks and sand. They will be around for a long time.
They will be here until this planet goes molten Grace… 🙂
“yet, there will be sand” is brilliant, Rob. Captures the inevitable.
Thank you James… 🙂
Reminds me of a Bob Dylan song, “how many years must a mountain exist, before it is washed to the sea?”
Everything must end, and will Jay… 🙂
The contrast between what we think we see, and what is really happening. A deep one on several levels.
Wonderful perspective Jane. We humans a are prone to make decisions based on limited, even skewed information, and we carry that around, maybe even for life, thinking it is true. We really know very little about what we think we know.
Goodness, this is incredibly deep and powerful writing, Rob!
Thank you Sanaa… 🙂
This would make a wonderful koan. The sand in turn will form rock. All that’s different is the scale of time. So, is it rock or sand, or does it hold no meaning to someone with an eternal soul? My brain has been successfully zenned.
I am pleased you found the returning path Tanmay.
The one thing constant in life is change. Resistance will be met with reality as we slowly transform in the journey.
Wishing you a happy holiday, Rob may it be merry and bright!
Shine on, my friend!
Thank you True… 🙂
Always and forever, something left behind. Wishing you and yours a joyous Holiday, Rob.
Thank you Helen. Happy Holidays, see you next year… 🙂
You are on an end-of-year roll. How the water does win over the boulders. I know living close to Lake Huron. Water wins.
Yes it does Yvonne. We live right near the Pacific Ocean. Them ocean waves are powerful and can be mean, but beautiful!
This is what time and water do.
Relentless patience brings change… 🙂
