Original DDE™ surrealistic art: “Ride The Moon” by: rob kistner © 6/4/24
Capture the poet moon
harness its sterling spirit
listen for its soulful song
until finally you hear it
let it ignite
your true heart
to sing
ecstatic
then ride
that sweet moon
through midnight skies
of magic
lighting the poet’s lamp
explore the secret realm of rhyme
seek the magic
that glistens there
like stardust
in folds of time

You descirbed the poet’s muse so beautifully, I like the metaphor very much!
Thank you Jay… 🙂
I love the shape and form of your poem, Rob, in which you have indeed harnessed the moon’s sterling spirit! I also love the rhymes, and these lines especially:
‘then lighting the poet’s lamp
explore the secret realm of rhyme
seek the magic
that glistens there
like stardust
in folds of time’.
Thank you Kim, I am glad this resonated with you… 🙂
A wonderful response to her image, Rob. I am especially smitten by these words:
“seek the magic
that glistens there
like stardust
in folds of time”
Thank you Lil… 😉
As I read your poem, could not help but hum “fly me to the moon” then found myself singing along with none other than Paul Simon ~ love it when that happens.
Glad to oblige Helen… 🙂
Very nicely done, Rob.
Thank you Dwight… 🙂
This is what poets do, travel out beyond, imagining what the nightsky has.
Travel on Björn… Take that journey out to the fringes of imagination… 🙂

What a lovely magical ride!
Thank you so much Grace. What a wonderful thing to say… 🙂
Thank you Rob! I love your words.
Wow, thank you for visiting. I love your artwork. I created art and craft for years with my hands. I’ve sold my work at juried shows. Now that arthritis has essentially taken both of my hands, in recent years, I’ve begun to utilize digital tools. Now I’ve been studying, and beginning to understand how to supplement that by using bots. At first, the bots wouldn’t do what I wanted them to do, but I’ve learned how to write code strings and how to feed them URLs of my creations to get them reasonably accurately responsive. Anyhow, I really love your artwork — and thank you for visiting my humble site.
Hi Rob, this really is delightful. I love your poem and the picture ????
Thank you so much Robbie… 🙂
