Scattered Poems

Photography by: Pedro Wroclaw

Here, in the street of the sky, night walks scattering poems. These poems are inspired dreams of truth, but the fabric of these dreams can be pierced by spires of human fear and insecurity. The clarity of these inspired dreams are sometimes clouded by the dire deeds and distorted dialogue of disingenuous demagogs, who deem only to dominate and destroy the dreams of those who dare think differently.

But still night presents the poems, the dreams, with unclenched open hands of truth, hoping the winds of change catch them this night, lifting them fully promised.

These are poems produced by a clear, open mind, meant to inspire all who hear, to be more. So listen, and think differently, as the hours rise up putting off stars — and it is dawn. Awake now, as into the street of the sky light walks scattering poems anew.

  1. OK, I love your diabolical “D” alliteration. and the yin-yang spin on the prompt. You seem to be a poet who gathers poems night and day, ranging from Kafka darkness to Dr. Seuss bright light, from Shel to Ginsberg, with Gary Snyder adding the natural touch. There simply are no limits or barriers on your imagination and smooth delivery.

      1. Thank you both Lisa, very much! For me, it is often a case of — poem to keep from crying — or going insane. But I love to write, so the act of doing it offers me supreme satisfaction, and as such — JOY! 🙂

    1. Thank you Merril! 🙂 I hardly ever see the dawn, except occasionally at the end of my “day”. But it is beautiful, just not as beautiful, overwhelming, or as inspiring for me as a sky-full of stars, when viewed beyond the distorting impact of incandescent or LED civilization — as I did for a quarter of a century, living in the Cascade Mountain foothills of Oregon. I dearly miss that since I have moved across ftom Seattle 7 years ago. I am deeply grateful however to my son and daughter-in-law for reaching out yo Kathy and I as my health was failing.

  2. Love how you used that line, highlighting the word ‘light’ which gives the line, the poem even more meaning.
