To the seaside she strolls
with me
On a sunny seaside day
Into the sea she slips
alone
Then silently swims away
The sea opens up and
swallows
In its watery deep sea way
Soon she’ll be down with the
fishes
Aswim in the seabed’s sway
Serene in the spledor of
sea life
Neptune’s beauty in array
She seeks solace in this
sea world
These blues keep her blues at bay

Poetic journey. Beautiful one
Your poem works much on the same level as the e e cummings one. It seems the natural thing for her to do.
Yeah, you’ve got it spot on Rob. Nicely rhymed!
We went to see The Bootleg Beatles at the Manchester Apollo Theatre this week, I think you might have liked it.
Lyrically moving. Swimmingly done!
This poem undulates likes the waves. Great job with the rhythm!
Nice! I love the idea of passing beteen both worlds like that!
Hello! Your poem is as peaceful and enjoyable as your blog! ~Angie
Oh, this should be set to music, very lilting and soft. Pretty images too.
Dear Rob,
First, thank you so much for visiting my poetry journal. 🙂
Second, I love the alliteration in this piece as well as the repetition of certain words in each stanza.
“She seeks solace in this
sea world
These blues keep her blues at bay”
My favorite stanza as I can relate to it! And plus, my favorite color is blue. It is a soothing color that keeps my own blues away. 🙂
I enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.
rob, this is very soothing and gentle. i really enjoyed it!
