The Pleiades (1885) by Elihu Vedder
Linked in the deep night sky
Ethereally beautiful sisters
Incredible mythical maidens
Alluring in their mystery
Dispersed across the heavens
Evermost in their separation
Six less the mortal-bound seventh

You’ve successfully rocked both versions of the prompt, well done, Rob! It is a mystery, what happened to that seventh sister?
Thank you Ingrid… 🙂 …she married a mortal and lost her deity status, according to myth.
Another nice one. Bravo. You really rocked this prompt Rob
Much????love
Thank you Gillena… 🙂
A beautifully compact acrostic to the sisters here Rob – just like their clustering together!
Thank you Laura, I appreciate the kind words… 🙂
One sister had plans of her own, beautifully crafted Rob. Twas, love
the heart of light that took her away.
Powerful stuff, love…!
Your acrostic is perfect! I don’t think there’s a single wasted word, nor anything missing.
Thank you RW… 🙂
I wonder if the seventh sister walks among us.
If she maintained her immortality — perhaps Bjorn?
Alluring is exactly right (even the missing sister…)
Yes thanks Kerfe
I wondered also what to the seventh. I really enjoyed the idea of six of seven or three of five. As in clones or something. But your acrostic poem is rhythmic and a fun play on words.
Thznk you debo… 🙂
