Sail off on your dream quest
Singing songs of moonbeams
Scattering the stardust
Steer steady this night’s sky
Straight to the heart of love

Cool, you went with the Sixling. Your imagination soared as you rocked the socks off the prompt. Was this piece also about your son?

A beautiful six-line lullaby, Rob, and I love the central metaphor, reminiscent of ‘Wynken, Blynken and Nod’ by Eugene Field.
That is quite a compliment Kim, thank you very much… 🙂 …my little piece here is nowhere near the scale nor depth of Field’s piece — but I appreciate that you felt the whimsy. I love my grandson deeply. I held him in my heart as I was composing. The innocence and wonder of a child is quite magical. I have endeavored my entire life to keep touch with my wonder. As long as I can feel its pull from time to time, I know I’m still alive.
A sweet and wholesome peice! beautiful 🙂
