Original DDE™ surrealistic art entitled “Strange Attractors” by: rob kistner © 9/20/24
This is the plot the studio intends
an evil villain who’s a killer clown
striking fear and mayhem all over town
I wonder how this horror movie ends
no way that clown and beauty queen are friends
not as hot as she looks in that evening gown
maybe he’ll push her in that lake n’let her drown
perhaps this is the plot the studio intends
bet he’s gonna kill her in front of her friends
perhaps he will beat her with her pageant crown
or stab her with her scepter when she turns ‘round
I so wanna know how this horror movie ends
ohhellno — RomCom’s not the plot the studio intends
please no — all this lovey-doven’s bringing me down
this can’t be how this movie ends — oh horrors!

Nice one Rob.
much love
Thank you Gillena, much love to you my friend. 🙂
That’s a whole story in fifteen lines, Rob! As you know, I’m not keen on clowns, and a killer clown is even more terrifying. I love the way you hook the reader with ‘I wonder how this horror movie ends’.
I am pleased my little poetic misdirection engaged you Kim. I am right there with you regarding clowns my friend — that world is way too strange for. 😐
It sure is a horror movie in the making, not the rom com. Thanks for joining in.
I think the jury might still be out on that one… 🙂
Well who knows how the movie ends but, to be honest I find clowns creepy. I guess you either like them or not. Horror movies and I don’t get along as they cause bad dreams for me.
Happy Dreams my friend
Actually True, I don’t like clowns or horror movies either. That was the writer in me playing with an idea — a different perspective on the beauty and the beast concept… 🙂
Ah ha well the writer is allowed creative expression. I recently saw the preview for the new Joker movie and I thought about your poem. Strange how some poems find a way of staying with the reader.
The strange ones seem to True — and I can be a little strange my friend… 😉
How fun, Rob!
🙂
I really want the clown to be a really sweet guy…. but maybe he is not.
I hope do too Björn. But you know my friend, there’s always somebody who”ll love, even a complete asshole…
A fun story. I consider rom-coms generally to be horror movies and wished everyone would die! Haha! That’s just me!
I hear you son — I getnit… 🙂
Rob did you know there is a new Joker movie out? Joaquin Phoenix as joker and Lady Gaga as his demented lady love. I think it’s just as likely she will take him out as he her. If you based your poem on their movie, I’m no more happy about that mashup than you.
No, I didn’t know. Strange serendipity… 😉
