This is Seussian Tetrameter…
cause I’m caught in your trance
cannot breath cannot think
my poor mind’s on the blink
I am gone this I’m sure
and I doubt there’s a cure
is this joy is this bliss
was that simply a kiss
will I wake I can’t tell
I am under your spell
is this all what it seems
am I lost in my dreams
if it’s true then it’s fine
these sweet dreams are divine
here’s a wish I now make
hope I never awake

Nice. Yes, some dreams you want to go on forever.
Thank you Ron… 🙂
It is lovely to be able to have such dreams….
Yes it is Bjorn.
Oh I enjoyed this one, written with the verve and cheek of a born dreamer!
Thank you Dora… 🙂
This was a fun, sweet dream Rob, thank you! I don’t blame you for not wanting to wake up!
Wanna be “woke” Ingrid, but don’t wanna lose the dreams.
Yes indeed Rob, never awake – from your reverie… All us poets will certainly drink to that!
Waking dreams Scott, as the mind deep-dives wonder.
Tetrameritorious, Mr K.
Light without being weightless.
Seussalicious!
Thank you Ron, very kind words my fridnd.
My first thought was, “Sweet dreams are made of this.” And then I saw you included the music video. Perfect.
Thanks Ken, hadda give Annie a nod.. 🙂
What a treat – Annie Lennox and Heart! Great rhyming couplets, Rob, and such a rhythm – like a fast-beating heart.
Thank you Kim. Had to get some good tunes in there.
A lovely feel to your poem Rob. Love the flow of your rhymes. I wouldn’t want to wake up either????
Pat
Dream land coming on!
Another fun zinger–you having infectious fun. You certainly rule within this format. It is delightful to see the lighter side of you, brother. When you and I go dark, the verbs sting and the adjectives punch.Romantic warrior musician artist, it seems.
Thanks dude! I have been trying to be light lately. I was beginning to depress myself.
So much energy in the rhymes, I feel the passion!
Thank you Tricia!
I adore the sweet pace of your couplets, Rob. It moves the poem nicely and as you did not wish to wake, nor did I wish for the mood to end.
Thank you Raivenne!
here’s a wish I now make
hope I never awake
How nice to look forward to lots of things nice. Sometimes they do happen in a good karma situation.
Hank
Karma can be kind, and karma can be a bitch — all depends…
So sweet, love the flow of your rhymes. I wouldn’t want to wake up either????

Sweet dreams Helen! 🙂
Those are the kind of dreams I love. Good Brandi Carlile tune. You’ll make a fan out of me yet!
Thank you, and Brandi will make you a fan… 🙂
You are definitely hopelessly in love! Well done!
Thank you Dwight… 🙂
I enjoyed that Seussian cadence! Just lovely.
Thank you Susan… 🙂
