~ In the face of the horrors of our times, I chose, rather I need to focus on love for this entire week — then I will wade back into the sewer we call the world these days… but as Scarlett put it, “I can’t think about that right now. If I do, I’ll go crazy. I’ll think about that tomorrow.” for me — next week! ~
Let us make sweet love
spellbound in May
in the cool night breeze
at the end of day
on the silvered beach
of a slate blue bay
as moonlit waves roll in
and softly slide away
we’ll embrace
wrapped in the season’s
heady sway

Rob, I looked at the picture you chose and imagined you and your dear Kathy as the two. Just a lovey-dovey romantic poem <3
If Kathy and I got down on the beach like that these days, we’d need to call for friends to get me back up… 😉
You remain in the sweet zone. I envy your focus. I can’t get there. I still have Trump nightmares. The Trumplicans have fucked Biden. He’s a one term wonder if he doesn’t stroke out first. Not since the Mau Mau wars have I seen such brutality and evil doing. It could be worse. Trump could have gotten re-elected setting into motion Civil War II and WWIII.
I had to go there Glenn, I was so damned frustrated I was becoming a bit unbearable at home here with the family. I really don’t believe Biden really wants a second term. It was strictly a defensive move by the Dems. Problem as I see it, no strong Dem candidate has surfaced. There is so much bullshit and rancor in this country, I think the “beautiful experiment” is over.
There’s such a lovely sense of peace in this Rob. Love makes up for a lot in this world.
Love is the only thing truly worth anything in this world Kerfe.
The perfect touch of sweet romance as smooth and breezy as your rhymes. Nice.
Thank you Raivenne. I have been frustrated by the madness in this chaotic world for the past nearly three years — so I needed smooth and breezy.
Beautifully romantic….
Thank you True! 🙂
Beautiful and incredibly romantic…according to google maps I’m only 400 metres away from Pushkin square in Uzghorod. Now 7.04 am just arrived here, will try to get to the square, hopefully not too big so can find the cherry blossoms. Have not slept all night. We are here collecting things your tax payments sent. Guess one day will say a little more there.
Thank you my friend! 🙂 You are a brave man Ain. I think it would be marvelous to have Photo of a Pushkin Parking cherry tree — but do not put yourself into any awkward situations to capture one. Please be safe Ain!
How lovely is this??!!! (must confess I’ve been there, done that.)
thank you! I would believe nothing less Helen… 😉
I love your romantic, rhyming poem Rob. Your carefully chosen words were delightful. Loved this!
Thank you Christine… 🙂
There’s some spellbinding seasoning here, Rob.
Glad it was to your taste Ken.
What an explosion of love. Very fitting for the season! Sweet write!
Thank you Arjan!
That sounds so perfect… to spend any time close to the sea is wonderful
Thsnk you Bjorn! I agree my friend.
Beautiful words atop a pleasant meter.
Thank you Ron! 🙂
