The Mourning

The Mourning

•

the hollow wallow
aglow in the spotlight’s heat
to boast odes of praise for him
in death
who had few words of warmth for him
in life

while those who love him
pay true tribute
with searing tears
of silent grief

  1. Profound realization of reality…it is astounding how so many, that never cared in life, never spared a second thought, become so falsely immersed in sorrow in the passing, making sure all can see…it’s a despicable show, really. Yet those that really care, they suffer and they weep, and as Vivienne says, it is their tears – their genuine tears – that make true tribute to the passing soul…beautiful piece.

  2. Truth well spoken in so few words. You give voice to those whose voice is stuck at the lump in their throats. Awesome. Now off to check out your collages – they’re calling to me!
